About how to power the U691 auto oil reset car diagnostic tool,you should know first that the tool is directly powered up through the vehicle Data Link Connector,but for the VOLVO,it needs an external 12V power source.
To power the U691,you should connect the extension cable to connector and to the tool,find the Data Link Connector on vehicle,remove the plastic DLC cover if there has one,then plug the diagnostic connector to the vehicle's DLC.Last,turn ignition on.
After you power the U691 full,you can set up some relevent setting.The tool is in English by default and you can select the desired language by yourself.The setting of " Contrast Adjustment" can allow you adjusting the contrast of the LCD display.The "Display Test" is used to check if the LCD display is working properly and the "Keyboard Test" is used to checks if the the keyboard is working properly.And you can view the software and hardware information of the tool and etc. in the "Information" setting.
